Our Lady of Lourdes 2011

Yesterday we celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
We did not follow our plans from last year but simply decided we would make a grotto like the one on Catholic Culture and have an all white meal too.
We used this as a guide to try to give us a variety from our usual fare....
Our menu consisted of :
Lemon Chicken
Fried sliced potato and onion
Steamed cauliflower
Sliced french bread

Autumn was not impressed by this meal as she dislikes white food meals as they aren't visually appealing. However the idea of the white meal is to represent Our Lady's purity.

Rogan made a white cake that he iced with white frosting for our sweets.

Of course we ate the grotto that our lady was in...very delicious

I painted Our Lady of Lourdes quickly. She really didn't turn out as well as my Alphabet Path
or Birthday Saints some of my others, I guess I was really into  much of a hurry.
